Inspiration: Vintage Flicks

Films set in decades past are a great way to get a feel for how people of the time period dressed. They're also a great source of inspiration. Here's a little trip back in time to some films from past decades.

40s

Casablanca

Double Indemnity

Pearl Harbor (okay, so this one wasn't made in the 40s, but it's set in the 40s and it's beautiful)

50s

Rebel Without a Cause

Grease (again, not made in the 50s but it's pretty true to the time it's set in)

60s

The Secret Life of Bees (set in the 60s)

Breakfast at Tiffany's

70s

Starsky and Hutch

Foxy Brown

80s

The Breakfast Club

Do the Right Thing

Pretty Woman

90s

Empire Records
